The Australian Design Rules (ADRs) are national technical standards that govern the safety, anti-theft, and emissions performance of vehicles in Australia. These rules are legal requirements for all new and imported vehicles when first supplied to the Australian market.
📌 When Do ADRs Apply?
All newly manufactured or imported road vehicles must meet the relevant ADRs in effect at the time of their entry into the market. State and territory governments also require compliance with ADRs during vehicle registration.
